Twenty-year-old woman raped in Glasgow's Victoria Park
Police said the attack took place in the early hours of Friday in the west end.
A young woman was raped in a park in Glasgow during the early hours of Friday.
The assault on the 20-year-old took place between 1am and 2am in Victoria Park, in the west end of the city.
An area near the pond was cordoned off as police investigated, with forensic teams seen at the scene.
The park is situated between the Jordanhill and Whiteinch areas of the city, near the entrance to the Clydeside Expressway.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland received a report of a serious sexual assault on a 20-year-old woman in Victoria Park, Glasgow between 1am and 2am on Friday, May 12.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident."
