Masked robber flees with cash from M&D's theme park
A man broke into the theme park in Motherwell before stealing a five-figure sum
A masked raider has fled with cash from the M&D's theme park in North Lanarkshire.
The raid took place at the attraction in Motherwell on Tuesday just before 3am.
A man broke into the main building of the theme park before stealing a five-figure sum of cash from the premises.
He then made off in the direction of the loch within the park.
The man was wearing dark coloured clothing and had his face fully covered.
Sergeant Neil MacLeod of Wishaw Police Office said: "Our enquiries are continuing into the theft and to identify and trace the man responsible.
"At this time I would urge anyone who was in the area of Strathclyde Park around the time of the incident in Tuesday morning, who may have seen this man acting suspiciously or maybe saw a vehicle in the area to come forward to officers, as their information may be vital to this inquiry."
