A missing pensioner with dementia has been seen walking along the A82.
Charles O'Neill, who is known by his middle name of Stuart, left his home on Knightswood, Glasgow, at around noon on Tuesday.
A search is under way for the 69-year-old in Drumchapel, Clydebank and Dumbarton, supported by a police helicopter.
Mr O'Neill has gone missing before but never for such a long period of time, police said.
Sergeant Debbie McCartney said: "Given the period of time Mr O'Neill has been missing, we are concerned for his safety and well-being. His family are extremely worried and just want him home safe and well.
"We have a confirmed sighting of him around 3.50pm near to the Shell Garage of the A82 at Drumchapel where he was walking westbound and officers have been carrying out searches in the Drumchapel and Clydebank areas.
"They are being assisted by specialist resources including the force helicopter."
She added: "Mr O'Neill is also known to frequent the Dumbarton and enquiries are also being carried out in that area too."
Anyone who has seen Mr O'Neill has been urged to contact officers at Drumchapel Police Office.
He is 5ft 6in, with a slim build and tanned complexion. He was wearing a grey jacket, blue jeans, checked shirt and trainers when last seen.
