A 82-year-old man who went missing from his Glasgow home for two days has been found.

Patrick Hart was located in Maryhill after he was last seen at his home on Saracen Street, Glasgow, at around 4pm on Monday.

Police launched a search for Mr Hart, sending out a number of officers with assistance from police dogs as well as a force helicopter.

Officers thanked members of the public for their help in the search for the pensioner.

He is not thought to be in a serious condition but will be checked over by medical staff.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Further to our previous appeals regarding 82-year-old Patrick Hart, missing from Saracen since Monday, May 8, please note Mr Hart has been located."
