Celebrity photographer David Eustace has visited his old primary school to help pupils with a photography project before the building is demolished.

Carntyne Primary School was built in the 1930s and still contains some of its original features.

Pupils, parents and others from days gone by have taken to social media to remember their school days in Glasgow's east end.

John Lawson wrote: "Thirty years ago, I walked in here to my first job and first class. Looking forward to a visit in June to see it all before it goes."

Meanwhile David Ewing joked: "I started here in 1969, my first teacher was Mrs Burrell. The corridors and cloakroom are unchanged - hope the toilets have."

An emotional Eilidh Campbell posted: "I'm absolutely devastated and heartbroken that they are demolishing this school. The days I spent at this school were some of the best days of my life."

Emma Gillanders also encouraged contributors to continue the conversation on the If Walls Could Talk project page "where you can share your memories and keep up to date with what's going on."
