Hunt for knifeman after clubber suffers serious slashing wound at venue in Paisley on Monday.
A clubber has been left with 16 stitches after he was slashed in an attack at a venue.
The 26-year-old victim was knifed in a disturbance the early hours on Monday morning inside a nightclub in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
The man was taken by ambulance to hospital from Fantoosh on the town's New Street at around 2.55am for treatment to a serious facial wound.
He has now been released and police have launched a hunt for the knifeman.
Detective inspector Sandy Nelson, at Paisley CID, said: "Police received a report of a serious assault which took place within Fantoosh on New Street, in Paisley, at around 2.55am on Monday.
"A 26-year-old man suffered a serious facial injury and was released following treatment at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
"Officers are following a positive line of inquiry."
