CCTV images of two men have been released after a husband and wife were attacked after the Celtic v Aberdeen cup final in November.

Officers from British Transport Police are investigating the serious assault at Paisley Gilmour Street station on Sunday, November 27 last year.

The victims were subjected to a serious assault after the Celtic v Aberdeen League Cup final at Hampden.

Detectives have now released CCTV images of two men they are hunting as part of the probe.

The first is white, around 50, of heavy build and with dark spiky hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, grey top, blue jeans and a green tartan scarf.

The second is also white, around 50, of heavy build and bald. He was wearing a black jacket, dark striped top and light blue jeans.

A BTP statement said: "Anyone with any information is asked to contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 160 of 30/01/2017.

"Alternatively, you can pass information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
