Four revellers stabbed after mass-brawl erupts outside party
Eight men involved in large-scale disturbance just 200 metres from a police station in Glasgow.
Four revellers were stabbed when a mass-brawl broke out on a path outside a party.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene of the disturbance involving around eight men in the Gorbals in Glasgow the early hours of Saturday.
The partygoers clashed on a footpath at Hutchesontown Court at 3.30am and four men suffered serious injuries, believed to be stab wounds.
The incident happened less the 200 metres from the local police station.
An 18-year-old man, 25 year-old man and two others aged 29 were taken to hospital before being released by medical staff and arrested by police.
Officers have launched an investigation into the incident and say inquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 3.30am on Saturday, December 17, police received a report of a disturbance involving eight men on a footpath at Hutchestown Court, Gorbals.
"As a result, four men sustained serious injuries. An 18 year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the other three men aged 25, 29 and 29 were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
"They have all since been released from hospital. Four men aged 18, 25, 29 and 29 have been arrested in connection with the alleged incident and police enquiries are continuing."
