Driver trapped in car after smash with bus near college

Police and emergency services were called to the scene of the smash near Ayrshire College in Kilwinning on Tuesday morning.
The driver of the car became trapped and had to be cut free by firefighters using specialist hydraulic tools before being taken to hospital.
The crash happened at around 8.25am and involved a Stagecoach bus. Police say inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A fire service spokesman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.20am to a road traffic collision between a bus and car at Lauchlan Way, Kilwinning on Tuesday.
"Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one casualty from the car. The casualty was then transferred to the care of colleagues in the Scottish Ambulance Service.
"Crews left the scene at 9.38am after ensuring the area was made safe."
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 8.25am on Tuesday we were called to a report of a crash between a bus and car on Laughlan Way, Kilwinning, near Ayrshire College.
"Officers remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing."
