CCTV has been released after a man was battered outside a city centre bar.

The 30-year-old victim was attacked outside Bar Budda on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow on August 28.

He suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital following the assault at around 1.30am.

Detectives have now released CCTV images of a man they are hunting in connection with the attack.

They have urged anyone who recognises him to get in touch.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "A 30-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being assaulted outside the bar, and required hospital treatment.

"Police Scotland has been continuing enquiries to trace the person responsible.

"Police Scotland is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises the man in the images to contact Greater Glasgow Police at Stewart Street on 101.

"Alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously."
