Burger King worker admits wrecking spree at fast food outlet

A Burger King employee has admitted smashing up a branch of the fast food chain.
Craig Shearer, 24, was arrested on Monday after walking into the restaurant on Ayr High Street, where he worked and smashed it up.
The restaurant was closed after the incident and Shearer appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday to face two charges.
He pleaded guilty to a vandalism charge of "without reasonable excuse, wilfully or recklessly" destroying or damaging property.
Shearer smashed menu screens above the counter after walking into the premises to quit his job. He also admitted a charge under the Criminal Justice and Licencing (Scotland ) Act.
He was was granted bail and will return to court on December 28 to be sentenced.
A Police Scotland spokesman said following the incident: "At 9.15am on Monday, November 28, police received a report of a disturbance at the Burger King on the High Street, Ayr, whereby the store was alleged to have been vandalised.
"A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident."
