A vulnerable elderly man who went missing from a respite centre in Glasgow has been found safe and well.

A search was launched for Brian Gilliland, 72, after he was reported missing from the centre in Strathbungo in Glasgow on Tuesday morning.

Mr Gilliland, who has suffered a recent bereavement, is unable to speak and his family were growing concerned for his welfare.

Police announced he had been found safe and well in Muirend later on Tuesday.
