Pensioner knocked down while crossing road suffers head injury
An 82-year-old woman was hit near a sheltered housing complex in Greenock, Inverclyde.
An elderly suffered a head injury after being knocked down as she crossed a road in Greenock, Inverclyde.
The incident happened at around 2.40pm on Tuesday on Regent Street close to the Regent Court Sheltered Housing Complex.
The 82-year-old woman was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment.
A woman driver has been reported to the procurator fiscal for alleged road traffic offences.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received an emergency call at 2.40pm on Tuesday to attend at Regent Street in Greenock after report of a lady in her 80s knocked down.
"She was conveyed to Inverclyde Royal Hospital with a head injury."
