
Six fire crews battle blaze at Dumfries commercial site
Firefighters were called out to Howgate Street shortly before 4am on Monday.
Firefighters are battling a blaze in a commercial premises in Dumfries.
Six crews were called to the site in the town's Howgate Street after the fire broke out in the early hours of Monday.
The one-way Howgate Street and neighbouring Galloway Street have been closed by police while firefighters continue their work.
It is understood that no one was injured in the incident.
A spokeswoman for the fire service told STV News: "We got the call at 3.45am. At the moment we have six appliances in attendance. The incident is ongoing."
