Two women were threatened by a man wielding a knife during a robbery at a pharmacy in Glasgow.

The man made off with what police described as "a significant quantity of prescription drugs" following the robbery at Gilbride's Pharmacy on Copeland Road, Ibrox on Friday.

At around 5.50pm, the man entered the pharmacy armed with a knife and threatened the two staff members there, aged 23 and 48.

He ran off along Copland Road towards Ibrox Underground after the robbery.

The two women were uninjured but were left "very upset" by the incident, police said.

The suspect is described as being white, 6ft tall, around 40 years old and had a Scottish accent. He was wearing a black jacket, a black hooded top with the hood over his face and blue jeans.
