Police are hunting for the occupants of a transit van after a gun was fired at a flat in Glasgow.

The incident happened at around 12.25am on Tuesday when a firearm was discharged towards a flat in Southdeen Avenue in Drumchapel.

Police said no one was in the flat at the time and no one was injured, but a window had been damaged by the bullet.

A white Ford Transit van, which officers suspect may have be involved in the incident, was found abandoned on Achamore Road a short time later.

Detective Inspector Greig Wilkie said: "Enquiries are continuing in the area with officers carrying out door to door enquiries and studying CCTV footage.

"I would urge anyone with information that may assist our enquiry, or who saw the white Ford Transit van in the area around the time of the incident to contact us through 101.
