Ryanair announces 11 new Glasgow routes for summer 2017
The budget airline will launch ten new routes from Glasgow Airport and one from Prestwick.
Ryanair has announced ten new routes from Glasgow Airport for Scots holidaymakers for next summer.
The budget airline has launched its "biggest ever Glasgow summer schedule" for 2017 with four new routes from Glasgow to Lisbon, Portugal; Palanga, Lithuania; Valencia, Spain, and Zadar in Croatia.
There will be two weekly flights from Glasgow Airport to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, four weekly to Malaga in Spain and two weekly flights to Sofia, Bulgaria.
Holidaymakers will also get three new weekly flights to Alicante, Spain, two to Belgian capital Brussels and one to Gran Canaria in the Canaries.
It comes as Ryanair grows its Glasgow traffic by 18% in 2017.
An additional new route from Prestwick to Girona near Barcelona in Spain will deliver two million customers per year and support 1500 jobs at both Glasgow and Prestwick airports.
Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary said: "We are pleased to launch our biggest ever Glasgow Summer 2017 schedule, which includes four new routes from Glasgow International to Lisbon, Palanga, Valencia and Zadar, and a new route from Glasgow Prestwick to Barcelona Girona.
"Customers can look forward to even lower fares when they make advance bookings for summer 2017.
"As our recent guidance confirmed, Ryanair expects average fares to fall by between 10% to 12% in the six months to March 2017.
