A masked gang forced their way into a man's flat and made off with a haul of designer clothes and his Mercedes.

The victim, who runs a business selling Stone Island clothes online, was targeted by the group of three or four men at his flat in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, on Friday.

He opened the door in Forres Street at around 7pm when the gang burst inside and demanded cash and clothes.

On their way out of the property the men took the victim's keys to his silver Mercedes C2 20 and drove off with it.

Some of the group also made off in a black Jeep-style vehicle that they had arrived in.

Detective constable Debbie Walker from Cambuslang CID said: "This was a targeted attack and the group of men were clearly aware of the victim's business selling these clothes.

"Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances however I would like to speak to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident.

"Anyone with information can contact officers at Cambuslang CID on 101."
