Two police officers injured after van crashes in Glasgow
Their vehicle was involved in a collision at traffic lights in Govan on Monday afternoon.
Two police officers have been taken to hospital after their van was involved in a crash at traffic lights in Glasgow.
The incident happened at 3.24pm at the junction of Golspie Street and Harmony Row in Govan, where the police van collided with a grey Hyundai i40.
It is understood two police officers suffered minor injuries and were taken to nearby Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Restrictions are currently in place to traffic travelling eastbound on Golspie Street turning right into Harmony Row and traffic travelling northbound on Harmony Row turning right into Golspie Street.
A police spokeswoman added: "I can confirm a police van and another vehicle were involved in a collision at Golspie Street and Harmony Row."
A Scottish Ambulance spokesman said: "The Scottish Ambulance Service received multiple 999 calls at 3.24pm this afternoon to attend a multiple vehicle road traffic accident.
"A paramedic response unit and and an ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene.
"Two patients with minor injuries have been transporter to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital A&E department."
