Man in court charged with knife murder of father-of-eight

A man will stand trial charged with the murder of a dad-of-eight in his own home.
John McKay is accused of killing William Scott, 43, in Chapelhall, Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, in April.
The charge includes claims McKay repeatedly struck him with a knife or similar item.
It is also alleged he did "inflict blunt force trauma" by "means unknown".
The 45 year-old pleaded not guilty on Wednesday during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Judge Lord Boyd set a trial due to take place next March.
