Scotland's Olympic medal winners encouraged people to take part in sport during a series of free events across the country.

Fresh from Team GB's record-breaking success in Rio, they joined thousands of Scots in what was billed as the nation's biggest-ever sports day.

The I Am Team GB initiative, which took place throughout the UK on Saturday, aimed to encourage people to get active.

Swimming silver medallists Dan Wallace and Duncan Scott were at Glasgow's National Hockey Centre, along with rowing star Karen Bennett.

Judo bronze medallist Sally Conway also completed the 5km Parkrun event in Aberdeen.

STV turned its channel off for an hour on Saturday morning to encourage people to take part.
