A woman who disappeared after leaving hospital has been found by police.

Ann Mathieson, 57, was last seen at around 3.30pm on Thursday on Cathcart Road in the south side of Glasgow.

She was with her sister before she went missing after leaving the New Victoria Hospital on Grange Road following an appointment.

Police then launched a search and appealed to the public for help but officers confirmed on Friday that Ms Mathieson had been found safe and well.
