Firework set off at three-year-old boy playing in garden
Child 'shaken and upset' after the incident in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire, on Sunday.
A firework was set off at a three-year-old boy as he played in his garden.
Police said the pyrotechnic was lit by a group in a car which had stopped outside the house in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire.
A man sitting in one of the rear seats, who was one of four occupants in the vehicle, lit the device, which then flew into the garden on Montrose Drive.
The boy was not injured but was left "shaken and upset" after the incident at 6.30pm on Sunday, police said.
The group drove in the direction of Stockiemuir Avenue after the firework was let off.
Police said the vehicle was a navy blue Volkswagen Golf with a 53 plate.
The rear passenger is described as being between 18 and 20, wearing a navy jacket or long sleeved top, with short, dirty blonde hair.
The driver of the vehicle was also around 18 to 20, with short dark hair. Police did not have descriptions of the other occupants.
Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to call police on 101.
