Police are hunting for a gunman after s****hots were fired at a vehicle in Glasgow.

Officers were sent to the scene on Gourlay Street, Springburn, at about 8pm after reports of gunshots were received.

A black vehicle is believed to have been targeted in the incident and police say an "extensive" investigation is under way.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 8pm on Friday, police were called to a report of shots having been fired at a black vehicle on Gourlay Street, Glasgow.

"At this time there are no reports of anyone injured, however, extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish more detail on the incident and trace the vehicle and those involved."
