Teenager in critical condition after car ploughs into tree

A 17-year-old man has been critically injured after a car careered into a tree in Glasgow.
Three other teenagers were also taken to hospital after the incident in Glasgow on Saturday afternoon.
The Ford Fiesta they were travelling in left the road and crashed into a tree between Easterhouse and Gartcosh at around 4.45pm.
The 17-year-old, who was travelling in the front passenger seat, is being treated at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The driver of the car, also 17, was taken to Monklands District General Hospital, where his condition is described as stable.
A 19-year-old is being treated for foot injuries at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, while a 16-year-old boy was treated for minor injuries at Wishaw General Hospital.
Police Scotland constable Gordon Bremner added: "Although this is quite a rural road, at this time of the afternoon I am sure there would have been other cars on the road.
"I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the car prior to the crash. If you have any information that you feel may assist the police investigation, then please contact the Divisional Road Policing Department in Glasgow via 101."
