Body found by divers in search for missing fisherman

A body has been found in a river by police in the search for a missing fisherman.
Divers from Police Scotland's marine unit found a man's body on Thursday morning in the River Nith, Dumfries.
The body has not yet been formally identified but the relatives of missing Charles Mellor have been informed, police said.
Police said the discovery had been made in the area of The Caul, near the Devorgilla Bridge in the town.
Mr Mellor, 57, from College Street in Dumfries, was reported missing on Saturday.
He had failed to return home after going fishing the previous evening close to the Carnation Factory.
