Four fans were arrested over alleged attacks during pop superstar Beyonce's gig at Hampden.

Stewards also had to help with crowd control due to a crush in the standing section on the pitch.

Police said there were a small number of "minor incidents" with three women and a 16-year-old boy arrested over assaults at the concert on Thursday night in the south side of Glasgow.

Two women, aged 26 and 49, were arrested and detained in police custody in connection with an assault.

A woman, aged 28, was arrested and reported to prosecutors over two other attacks while a 16-year-old boy was arrested outside the stadium and held in custody in connection with an assault.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "There was a small number of minor incidents at last night's Beyonce concert at Hampden which were initially dealt with by the stewards, with officers assisting when necessary.

"Stewards were deployed into the standing section for crowd control purposes to prevent congestion at the concert - not to deal with any large-scale disorder, which did not occur."
