Teenager arrested over 'attempted murder' near high school
A 16-year-old boy was left in hospital after the attack in Baillieston on Friday night.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested over an alleged attempted murder in Glasgow.
The attack on a lane next to Bannerman High School in Baillieston left a 16-year-old boy in hospital with serious injuries.
Police say he was assaulted at about 10.30pm on June 17 after leaving a group of youths in Garrowhill Park to walk to a nearby Spar shop with a friend.
The pair were walking back through the lane next to the school after discovering the shop closed.
The victim was allegedly approached by a young man before he reached Glasgow Road and stabbed.
Police Scotland said in a statement: "A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the incident."
