Elderly man in serious condition after being hit by car
The pensioner suffered head and leg injuries in the incident in Glasgow on Sunday.
An elderly man is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Glasgow.
The man, who has yet to be identified, was struck by a red Toyota Aygo around 10pm on Sunday on Kilmarnock Road.
He suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where his condition is serious but stable.
The 31-year-old woman driving the car and her two passengers were uninjured.
Police closed the road as inquiries were carried out but it has now been re-opened.
Sergeant Kenneth Canavan said: "At this time I would urge any witnesses to the crash to contact the divisional road policing unit at Helen Street through the 101 number."
