Man 'made 12-minute 999 call to complain he was thrown out pub'
An 18-year-old man has been reported to prosecutors for allegedly misusing 999 lines.
A teenager has been reported for making a 12-minute 999 call to police to complaint about being thrown out of a pub.
Police received an emergency call at 4am on Friday from an 18-year-old man who was allegedly complaining after being asked to leave a bar in Glasgow city centre.
He is said to have kept the call handler on the phone for more than 12 minutes while he voiced his discontent at the staff at the premises.
Police have confirmed a man will be reported to prosecutors in connection with the incident.
A statement from Police Scotland said: "An 18-year-old man is being reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly misusing 999 lines for 12+ minutes to complain licensed premises staff had required him to leave"
