Fugitive boyfriend of Scots mother missing in Spain extradited
Lisa Brown's partner was arrested in Copenhagen and has now been sent back to Spain.
The boyfriend of a Scottish woman reported missing in Spain has been extradited back to the country after being arrested in Denmark.
Lisa Brown, 32, from Alexandria, in West Dunbartonshire, has not been seen since November 4 last year.
Family sources confirmed her boyfriend Simon Corner was detained in Denmark on a European Arrest Warrant after turning himself in. He was arrested by officers in Copenhagen on April 14 and held in custody.
He has now been extradited back to Spain after a court hearing on Tuesday, Danish prosecutors have told STV News. It is understood he left with officers voluntarily to be flown back and taken into the custody of Spanish police.
Spanish police launched a search more than six months ago for the mother-of-one, who has lived and worked in both Spain and Gibraltar since she was 18.
Members of her family have also flown out to Spain and issued online appeals for her safe return.
Posting on the "Find Lisa" Facebook page, Ms Brown's sister Helen Jordan said: "While we are delighted that he's been caught, we still have a long road to go.
"This page that was set up to 'Find Lisa' turned into 'hunt Simon' so our journey is not over, and we still appeal to anyone that knows where she might be to contact the guardia.
"Once again we wish to thank each and everyone that has supported us in so many ways, we couldn't of got this far without you all, we will be eternally grateful."
