Detectives hunting an armed robber who raided a computer store have released a CCTV image of a man they are hunting.

A man armed with a knife and wearing a balaclava walked into the store in Helensburgh, Argyll, on Tuesday, April 5, before threatening staff.

The masked man then made off with a two figure sum of cash and electrical equipment from the Bits and PCs shop in the town's Sinclair Street at around 4.55pm.

Following the robbery the man was seen walking east on East Clyde Street, Helensburgh. Police inquiries are ongoing to trace the man.

He is described as male, white Scottish, about 5ft 10 tall, medium to heavy build wearing a balaclava, dark hooded top with high visibility vest over it, dark Adidas jogging bottoms and black trainers. He was carrying a blue carrier bag.
