Man sang sectarian songs and attacked passengers on train

A man sang sectarian songs then attacked a group of train passengers with his belt.
The train was travelling between Glasgow Queen Street and Carntyne at around 11.50pm on Saturday when he began to chant "religiously offensive" songs.
He then removed his belt and wrapped it around his fist before using it to attack a group of men. It is believed the man responsible, who had been drinking, got off the train at Carntyne station.
Constable Craig Jennings, the British Transport Police officer in charge of the inquiry, is appealing for anyone who was on the train, which is known to have been busy at the time, and who witnessed the incident or recorded it on a mobile phone to get in touch on 0800 405040 or by texting 61016.
