Fire breaks out at well known chip shop in Glasgow
Fire crews arrived as plumes of smoke were seen coming from the scene by Glasgow's Central Station.
A fire has been extinguished at a chip shop in Glasgow city centre.
The incident occurred at the Blue Lagoon chip shop on Gordon Street at around 1.40pm on Saturday afternoon.
As yet it is unknown what caused the blaze but the fire service were alerted as smoke billowed from the premises.
Four fire crews attended the scene in total and are now in the process of ventilating the premises after tackling the initial fire.
Police were also alerted after a member of the public called to report the incident and have now cordoned off the scene.
No injuries have been reported so far.
