Pensioner arrested over alleged hit-and-run with cyclist
A 36-year-old is in serious but stable condition after being struck by a car.
A pensioner has been arrested over an alleged hit-and-run that left a cyclist injured.
The cyclist was hit by a car and thrown from his bike in Eaglesham, East Renfrewshire, on Monday February 15.
Passers-by stopped to help the injured man on Moors Road at around 4pm and he was taken to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride.
The 36-year-old is said to be in a serious but stable condition following the collision.
Police said a 78-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
