Police have issued an appeal to trace a hillwalker who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Robin Millar, from Newmills in Fife, was last seen on February 5 near Kincardine.

He has not had any contact with his family since then and concern is growing for his welfare.

Police said the 44-year-old is a keen hillwalker and may have been in the Oban or Mull areas between February 12 and 19. He was last seen driving his white Fiat Doblo van with registration number SC51 LWX.

Mr Millar is described as white, 5ft 9in tall with a slim build, shaved head and a large ginger and white beard. He also wears glasses.

Sergeant Tony Rogers from Dunfermline Police Station said: "At this time we are focussing our inquiries on the Oban and Mull area as well as the wider Argyll and Bute region and we are keen to hear from anyone who believes they have seen Robin in the past week.

"Once again, we would also ask Robin to make contact with family, friends, or with police to let us know he is safe."

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
