A man has been reported over a hit and run incident which left a six-year-old boy and a man in his thirties seriously injured.

The hit and run took place on Glasgow Road in Rutherglen during the early hours of Sunday, January 31.

The six-year-old boy and a 31-year-old man were both taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Police Scotland have now said a 60-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged traffic offences.
