Alfredo Morelos to face no action for Old Firm clashes
The Colombian striker is to face no punishment after review by the Scottish FA.
Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos won't face any retrospective punishment following clashes during the Old Firm derby.
The Colombian appeared to aim a kick at Celtic skipper Scott Brown, whilst he also caught Anthony Ralston with his studs and seemed to grab at Ryan Christie during the Light Blues' 1-0 win at Ibrox.
All three alleged offences were reviewed by Scottish FA compliance officer Clare Whyte.
However, as referee John Beaton confirmed he witnessed all three incidents and decided against taking action at the time no retrospective punishment is to be handed out by the governing body against the striker.
Morelos therefore remains available for selection for manager Steven Gerrard, who is taking his squad away to Tenerife over the winter break.
Rangers return to action on January 19 when they face Cowdenbeath in the Scottish Cup, before attention turns back to league duty with a trip to Rugby Park four days later.
Gerrard is looking to bolster his squad in the meantime, with Southampton confirming midfielder Steven Davis is poised to return to Ibrox for a second stint.
