Ryan Christie has committed his future to Celtic by signing a new three-year deal with the Scottish champions.

The 23-year-old's existing deal was due to expire next summer.

Christie joined Celtic from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2015 on a four-year deal and was instantly loaned back to the Highland club. He then spent a further loan spell at Aberdeen and found first team appearances with Celtic hard to come by, leading to speculation about his future at the club.

However, the attacking midfielder has been given his opportunity by manager Brendan Rodgers recently and has seized his chance to impress.

Christie has scored three times in the last five games and has been a central figure in wins over Hearts, Dundee and RB Leipzig.
