Rangers striker Lafferty returns to Northern Ireland squad
Kyle Lafferty has been called up his country for the matches against Ireland and Austria.
Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty has been named in Northern Ireland's squad for their upcoming double-header.
Lafferty's international future was cast in doubt after he informed manager Michael O'Neill he was unavailable at the last minute.
Northern Ireland blocked the forward from featuring for Rangers against St Mirren after the international break.
But after holding clear-the-air talks with O'Neill, Lafferty remained in contention for future caps.
The 31-year-old has now been called up again by his country for the matches against the Republic of Ireland and Austria.
O'Neill said: "I've had a good conversation with Kyle Lafferty and the senior players.
"We are all happy he is back in the squad."
