Greg Stewart is to miss Kilmarnock's next two matches after the Scottish FA upheld his violent conduct charge.

The forward was cited after footage appeared to show Stewart motion his head towards Hamilton's Scott Martin then haul the defender to the turf during the 1-1 draw.

Stewart opted to contest the charge and take the matter to an independent panel on Thursday.

He took his place in attack for Kilmarnock against Rangers on Wednesday and went on to score the equaliser.

After a tribunal hearing at Hampden, the two-match suspension has been upheld.

The Birmingham City loanee will now miss Killie's upcoming matches against Aberdeen and Hearts.

Accies' Darian MacKinnon was also hit with a notice of complaint for a heavy challenge on Alan Power during the same match.

The midfielder decided not to contest his two-match ban and sat out Martin Canning's side's 3-0 loss to Aberdeen.

MacKinnon will also miss Hamilton's match against Livingston.
