Clarke given two match suspended ban for Collum comments
The Kilmarnock manager faced a hearing after saying an appeal decision was "pre-judged".
Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke has been given a two-match ban for comments made about referee Willie Collum and the Scottish FA disciplinary system.
Clarke shared his thoughts after an appeal failed to overturn Gary Dicker's red card for a tackle in a match against Hearts in August. He said that Collum had "lacked a calm and rational approach" and said that when he saw that the referee had been appointed to the Celtic v Rangers game, he knew the appeal would fail.
He was charged with making comments that imply bias or incompetence by a match official, and also faced a second charge of bringing the game into disrepute.
The club was also charged with bringing the game into disrepute after publishing the comments, and were also accused of breaching rules about ensuring that employees act within the regulations.
At a disciplinary hearing that lasted over six hours on Thursday, Clarke was found to have brought the game into disrepute with his comments and was banned for two games, though he will not serve out the punishment providing he does not break the same rule before the end of the season.
Kilmarnock were fined £1000 for publishing Clarke's comments, with the fine also suspended for the same period of time.
