Lafferty has international future after O'Neill talks
Rangers said the striker remains available after talks with all parties involved.
Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty remains available for Northern Ireland selection following talks with national team boss Michael O'Neill.
O'Neill was left angered after Lafferty pulled out of their Nations League double-header at the last minute, leaving him short on options up-front.
The manager voiced his frustration at receiving a call at midnight on the Sunday before the squad met from the Light Blues striker, who he said cited an Achilles issue despite playing for Rangers earlier in the day.
After back-to-back international defeats, the Irish FA then informed the Ibrox side they had invoked FIFA's five-day rule to prevent Lafferty from making a quick return to action against Hamilton.
Lafferty's international future had been cast in doubt following the dispute, but after discussions between all parties involved he is to continue playing for his country.
Rangers confirmed the 31-year-old will be absent this Sunday against Accies, before acknowledging Lafferty "did not comply fully with international protocol".
A statement said: "Rangers can Kyle Lafferty will not be available for the match against Hamilton on Sunday after the Irish FA invoked FIFA's five-day rule.
"Talks have now been held among all parties and Rangers understands the position of the Irish FA.
"Kyle did not comply fully with international protocol but remains available for international selection."
