Boxer Scott Harrison has said he's ready to recapture a world title upon his comeback to the sport at the age of 41.

The former WBO featherweight champion is making his return after being granted a licence through the British & Irish Boxing Authority following his early release from a four-year jail sentence.

Harrison was found guilty of assaulting three men at a brothel near Malaga in Spain.

The Bellshill athlete will will have his first fight in five years in December, before embarking on a journey he believes will end with a world title back around his belt.

He said: "The motivation is to provide for my family, first and foremost, and to win a world title again.

"I've unfinished business, I lost my license in 2007 then got it back in 2012, but with the Spanish cases it set my career back.

"I've no more cases and I'm looking forward to getting on with the last part of my career."

Asked if he believes he can win another world title, he said: "Definitely, I have the motivation, the focus and the determination to win a world title again.

"It's just getting the opportunity, if i get the opportunity I'll definitely win it."
