Surprisingly, the man tasked with preparing the surface is not an Israeli, but a Scot.

Mark Grace, from West Dunbartonshire, has spent the last two years pruning the Sammy Ofer surface after being posted there by his employers to manage the state-of-the-art pitch.

He spoke to STV ahead of the Nations League fixture about how he ended up plying his trade in northern Israel and his hopes for Scottish success.
