After his start to the season as a key part of Hibs' exciting attack, many Scots fans were hopeful that Martin Boyle might get international recognition sooner rather than later.

The 25-year-old now has a call-up but not  for Scotland. Boyle has lived in Scotland all his days and played all his football here but Australia have acted on the fact that his dad is from Sydney and he's ready to become a Soccerroo.

The winger has explained that Australia boss Graham Arnold had gone the extra mile to make him feel wanted and persuade him to choose green and gold over Scottish blue.

The decision to put Paul Gascoigne in the Scottish Football Hall of Fame has caused controversy. Members of the Scottish FA board are set to snub the ceremony as they feel the midfielder's past should prevent him being celebrated.
