Celtic winger Lewis Morgan said he and his teammates hold "true belief" they will overcome the challenges the champions currently face.

Defeat at Kilmarnock on Sunday meant Brendan Rodgers' Hoops have endured their worst start to a league season in 20 years.

Killie striker Kris Boyd said after the match he could sense a split in the Parkhead dressing room, and insisted teams have sussed out the Double Treble winners.

Morgan, however, described claims of a divide as "nonsense".

And the former St Mirren attacker - expected to feature for Rodgers' men in their League Cup tie against St Johnstone on Wednesday - insisted it's only a matter of time until Celtic's quality shines through.

He said: "Teams are setting up to try and stop us but that is what happens when teams are aiming for you.

"We're always looking for new ways to break these teams down, we'll get there.

"The quality through the squad is fantastic so we have true belief in ourselves we'll overcome the hurdles that we face."

On Boyd's comments, he added: "That's nonsense, you can only see what we've achieved over the last couple of years and that doesn't come without being united.

"It's a really close knit group and we're all working hard to progress."
