Dundee boss Neil McCann accepts pressure is mounting on himself and his team following a pointless start to the campaign.

The Dark Blues lost 4-0 last time out away to Rangers to make it five Premiership defeats from five.

McCann said he recognises why he and his team are currently facing scrutiny but added that he retains full belief in his charges.

He said: "I understand the pressure is greater on myself and the team because the points are not free flowing.

"But my belief is not any smaller in the group. I need to see them have that same belief I have in them.

"I'm expecting the fans will get behind us like we always do."

Asked if he felt this game was win or bust, he said: "I will continue doing my job every day, like I am paid to do.

"Regardless of points or positions, this league game will not define where this club finishes this season.

"My approach to this game has no bearing on whether people think it's my last game or whether I have two or three games to go.

"I don't care what people outside this club think."

He added: "We need to obviously all pull together, it is a difficult time but I've seen plenty of teams go through difficult times.

"Crystal Palace last year, I don't think they won any of their first seven games and finished tenth or 11th in the English Premier League.

"I see us being one of those sides who struggle at the start and then pick up form.

"If we get one result, we'll go as a side."
