After narrowly missing out on a Champions League jackpot, Celtic's resolve is set to be tested with a big bid for one of their stars.

According to French reports, Marseille are preparing a bid of £13.5m for striker Moussa Dembele, an offer which is just £100,000 short of the money the club would have received for reaching the group stage of Europe's premier competition.

Over at Ibrox, and Rangers are hoping to finalise a move for Kyle Lafferty.

The 30-year-old is apparently edging closer to a Rangers return with reports suggesting that the move is set to be completed within 48 hours after further talks took place with Hearts.

And whilst the Edinburgh side may reluctantly lose the Northern Ireland striker, the club are apparently in the market for another centre-back after they were rocked by the news that captain Christophe Berra will be out for six months through injury.
