Martin Boyle: Hibs can cause Molde problems out wide
The Hibs winger believes he is playing the best football of his career.
Hibs winger Martin Boyle is confident of causing Molde problems down the flanks as he believes he is playing the best football of his career.
The 25-year-old Scot has played a key role in Hibs' European run so far and scored in their Premiership opener against Motherwell.
Boyle's display against St Johnstone at the weekend drew praise from manager Neil Lennon, who described his attacker as a "revelation".
The former Dundee player feels he is playing his best football yet having being given freedom on the park.
He said: "I'm just happy to get a run of games, I'm feeling much more confident.
"I've been changing a lot of positions and adapting, I feel more versatile and I'm really enjoying it.
"If I can keep creating chances and scoring goals then I'm happy.
Asked if he was playing the best football of his career, he said: "100 per cent, I'm more confident in my ability.
"The gaffer has much more confidence in me and has given me a run of games.
"He just says to me to 'get the ball' and be more attacking.
"I'm thriving off of that and the players around me - they are backing me as much as they can as well so it's brilliant."
Hibs take on Norweigan's Molde on Thursday in the second leg of the Europa League third qualifying round.
The first leg ended 0-0 at Easter Road, but Boyle is optimistic his team can prove a handful for Ole Gunnar Solskjær's side.
He added: "Molde were well organised, they were a big, strong and physical side who moved the ball well and they're good in midfield.
"But, we can hurt them over there in the wide areas and really get at them to cause problems."
